We have regular dance parties throughout the year as well as parties at our dance weekenders. Our monthly dance parties are immensley popular with 70 - 100 people attending from all our class nights.
Format of the evening
Monthly dance parties
We teach a couple of moves in the mixer class.
Tea, coffee and yummy cake/slice provided ☕ 🎂.
Weekender dance parties
These are larger than our regular parties often with visiting dancers from around New Zealand and Australia.

What Do I Wear?
Sometimes there may be a theme and some people like to dress up according to the theme which can be great fun and entertaining! Otherwise come along in whatever you're comfortable in.
Music
Parties have a wide range of music that gives Modern Jive it's appeal - you can dance to anything! If there's a theme then the playlist will often reflect that theme whether it's 80's, R&B, Hallowe'en, Pirates etc. We still aim to have some variety if there is a theme.

- $16 standard entry
- $12 concessions
Pricing for New Years Eve and dance parties that are part of dance weekenders may differ.
