Recreation & Sport at Level 2
Update 9 Nov 2021
There are no cases in the community in the South Island where we continue to be at Alert Level 2. Refresh is currently on 🙂
Update 1 Nov 2021
There were no new cases in Christchurch on Sunday. A final announcement about Refresh won't made until this time next week when we'll have a better idea of how well Christchurch is fairing.
Update 28 Oct 2021
There are two new cases in Christchurch so we are watching for further developments
Update 24 Oct 2021
Knowing the new framework is coming soon, and wanting to run the safest event possible, we will be asking all attendees:
- either to be fully vaccinated by showing us their vaccination card
- or provide a negative test result before the event.
When the new COVID-19 Protection Framework comes into effect all dancers will need be fully vaccinated. In the meantime we are asking dancing to optionally let us know their vaccination status.
Vaccination rates for New Zealand are creeping up. Vaccination is the key to reducing restrictions for events.
Some dancers have asked if being vaccinated will be a requirement to attend Refresh - at this stage no - it is not yet known if that would even be an option. We are watching developments closely.
We would like to be able to show that we have high confidence in our community having a high vaccination rate, which we believe we do. You can let us know if you have been vaccinated.
Unfortunately, we are sad to say, we are going to have to postpone the event. The recent announcements tell us that while Auckland is at Alert Level 3 or higher the rest of the country will stay at Level 2.
Our new dates are: 12 - 14 November 2021
We really hope that this date will be a safer choice for us all and that you will still be able to join us. We know it will be worth it. All registrations will be automatically transferred to the new date but if you can't make it please get in touch for a full refund.
Our new early bird price date is the 4th of October.
