The Modern Jive Points Index (MJPI) is a system to track the progress of competitors in Modern Jive dance competitions. When dancers enrol in the system they will be allocated a number of points that represents where they are in their competition journey and corresponds to one of four levels of competition:
|Level||Dancer / Competitor|
|1||Newcomer / Beginner|
|3||Experienced / Early Advanced|
|4||Advanced / Champion|
For information on points and levels, see,
There will be an appropriate starting point for each dancer, and then there are a number of ways to gain further points depending on whether or not a competition is affiliated with the MJPI.
For information on what Level you would be,
For information on how points are earned,
There are a number of competitions in New Zealand and Australia that are currently affiliated with the MJPI.
Placings and attendance at non-affiliated competitions can also be included in the Points Index, see Points Tables (Non-affiliated Competitions).
